Born in Venice (Italy) in 1978, he got both his Master Degree and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering, in 2002 and 2006 respectively, at the Politecnico di Milano, where he is presently Acting Professor of “Formulations Science”. Visiting Post Doc at the Imperial College London in 2007, currently he’s also visiting Researcher at the IRF “Mario Negri”. His studies are mainly focused on process engineering and physical chemistry applied to materials for biomedical applications, particularly for tissue engineering and drug delivery systems. He’s author in more then 80 international publications and 3 patent families.

Born in Turin in 1958, he build his 30-years professional history as industrial manager with a track record that spreads through development of integrated company management systems, strategic marketing and product placement. His recent activities saw him active in the general and strategic plan management of highly technological manufacturing company. His last engagement had been as CEO of the Italian Ugo Basile s.r.l. and its foreign brand companies.

Gianni Pertici was born in Pontedera (Pisa, Italy) in 1976, got his Master Degree in Chemical Engineering in 2003 at the University of Pisa and from 2005 to 2009 performed his PhD in Biomaterials at the Dept. of Chemistry of University of Pisa and at the King’s College of London. His studies were focused on processing engineering and material properties especially for biomedical field, but during the last years he acquired good knowledge also in biological field particularly in cell culture methods. He is author in more then 1o publications and single inventor in 1 patent. Currently he i salso Researcher at the SUPSI Swiss University.

Giovanni Conti was born in Brescia (IT) in 1966, got her Master Degree in nuclear physics at the Università degli Studi di Milano (Milano, Italy). Attends the Medical Physics department of “Spedali Civili di Brescia” for a post-graduate specialization period, working on various topics. He continues his collaboration with the regional hospital, working for the Radiology Department of University of Brescia and for the hospital “Centro Clinico Diagnostico Fatebenefratelli” in Naples too. Since 1998 he works like consultant on Integrated Management Systems, on Medical Device CE Marking, linked to ISO 13485 standard, and developing technical files and risk analysis on different type of Medical Device, from Class I to Class III, driving the manufacturer to reach the CE marking by European Notified Bodies.
