SmartPepPutty™

IBI is pleased to announce that, on this last 2^nd of May and together with its Norwegian research partners Material Biomimetic AS and University of Oslo, had kicked off the EuroStar! Project “SmartPepPutty”. This research project aims at developing the next generation of bio-hybrid bone putty paste for regenerative application in the orthobiologic space.

SmartPepPutty™: next-generation of bio-smart regenerative putty for spinal surgeries.

In 2022, IBI won a EuroStar! research grant together with its Norwegian partners Material Biomimetic AS and University of Oslo: the goal of the project is the development and validation of a safe, easy to apply and predictable bio-smart putty offering more bone formation for spinal fusion and nucleus pulpous replacement indications. Taking advantage of partners’ expertise, a composite approach will be followed to obtain a multicomponent device: indeed, the new device SmartPepPutty™ will be achieved by means of an innovative integration of two existing components SmartBone® and NuPep.
